Hello again beautiful reader.
Last week I talked briefly about my order I got from Mecca, most of the things I got were repurchases, and some were brand new never tried before products.
This week I went to Sephora and restocked my Benefit Hoola Bronzer and picked up a couple of extras that I hadn’t tried before, and one that I had.
Like I mentioned in my last post, my order from Mecca, had three sample sachets and two products I purchased which I had never tried before.
Luna Bronze Tanning Moisturiser and MAC Prep+Prime Fix + Spray, along with samples of Nars Radiant Tinted Moisturiser, Josie Maran Argan Oil Face Butter, Too Faced Hangover Primer.
Now I’ll be honest, I haven’t gotten around to actually trying the primer from Too Faced, but I have tried everything else.
I really like the subtle glow from the Luna Bronze, it’s not as dark as you would get from tanning, obviously, but I found it extended my tan another week, it is deep moisturising and the citrus scent is amazing!
I wasn’t surprised when I tried the Prep+Prime spray from MAC. MAC has always been a favourite. I tried it along with the Nars tinted moisturiser and absolutely loved it.
I checked Mecca’s site for the price of the Nars tinted moisturiser, $66 aud normally. At first I was like, whaaaaaaat????????
But after I used it a second time, I was still just as impressed by it, and have decided it will definitely be purchased soon, especially since the shade matched me perfectly.
The Josie Maran face butter is terrific also, I like to use it as my night cream. It was no where near as thick as I had assumed being a “butter”.
[Products I used for the above look: MAC Prep+Prime, Nars Tinted Moisturiser, Nars Hot Sand Highlighter, MAC eyebrow crayon, MAC Velvet Teddy Matte Lipstick and Urban Decay Perversion Mascara.]
Onto my Sephora Purchases!!!
Benefit Hoola Bronzer [loved and repurchased], Sephora Goji Lip Balm, Sephora Yuzu Facial Cleansing Wipes, and Tarte Skincare Wide Awake pack, which contains the 911 undereye rescue patches, maracuja C-brightener eye treatment and the Lights, Camera, Lashes mascara, which I have used before and have already reviewed in my Top 10 mascaras post, if you’d like to read that one click HERE.
I really like the Yuzu cleansing wipes, I will always go for the item with the citrus in it. I found these wipes, incredibly refreshing, and they did a really good job on the cleansing. I haven’t tested them out with a full face of makeup yet, but a natural light coverage is removed well. Did I mention the smell is so fresh and it really helps to wake you up.
The Goji lip balm is probably as good as a lip balm can get, it does what it is meant to do, and gives a slight pink colour. Also the packaging is super cute, this little baby will be spending its life in my purse.
Tarte’s skincare range is something I have been DYING to try for a while now, so when I saw this cute little pack for $18 aud, I decided it HAD to be mine. The maracuja eye treatment is very light and goes a long way. I haven’t noticed any brightening affects yet, but I have only used it for a couple of days.
Also in the Wide awake pack were the Under eye rescue patches, I tried these earlier today, and boy oh boy, did they make a difference. I had been running on one of the worst weeks of sleep, and the under eye puffiness was real. The instant cooling feeling felt incredible on my poor tired eyes, and I ended up leaving them on for about 25 mins. My eyes actually do feel refreshed and unlike other under eye gel things that slip all over the place, these little beauties stayed in place even while getting lunch for my son, who when he’s hungry, acts like he hasn’t eaten in days and is absolutely starving to death.
